I'm really sorry this happened to you and I'm sure it was really frustrating. It sounds like a formatting error happened in your back-up file, but it's difficult to troubleshoot or help from an App Store review. Moving forward, we are working to implement automated backup so you won't need to save the files or manually upload them. We are always available through the support feature in the app and would have been happy to help you with this. But by other reviews, it appears developer does not respond all the time. Hopefully support for this app can provide a fix solution.
I would have given it 5 stars if not for this issue. I also tried the same back up on a different device resulting in the same outcome. I’m thankful the actual transaction data is there, but all the years of transaction names won’t populate anymore. I tried to restore the data from an older back up and same result happened. When you have many different transaction names you have entered in the past, having the name populate is a handy feature. This means I have to retype each transaction name again, where in the past just entering the first letter of the transaction name “S” and “Safeway” would populate. When I recently had to restore my data to the app from my recent back up data, the transaction names where missing. I faithfully back up my data for this app monthly to my e-mail. I paid for the upgraded bundle to get all the features. Hand writing a check book register is difficult. I have been using this app for several years and loved it. I am disabled and have sever arthritis in my hands. *** This version is ad supported but ads can be removed with an in app purchase.īack Up Data did not included transaction names.
