Homeworld is a space fleet RTS, and you have all three dimensions to attack and defend from. That's not to say it's difficult, but I've heard of people transitioning from a land-based RTS like Command and Conquer being thrown for a loop by the introduction of the Y-Axis. The camera is probably the trickiest thing to get the hang of. If you've played any 3D RTS game at all, you can play Homeworld. It's mostly the same game with upgraded graphics, and we were all new once. CoD is a FPS and ME3 is a RPG.Īwesome story with a difficult single player campaign, and balanced multiplayer where the game mechanics lead towards a wide variety of interesting tactics.
#HOMEWORLD REMASTERED COLLECTION MULTIPLAYER SERIES#

the playerbase for the multiplayer mode will usually decay within a couple of weeks in such games.Īnd also, since i've never got to play any of the originals. Some games takes this a step further by having the singleplayer mode identical to the multiplayer mode, with the only difference being that you'll play with bots instead of real people.Īnd on the flipside we got games like Mass effect 3, where the singleplayer campaign is the main attraction, and the multiplayer is just tacked on and shallow. In Call of duty, where the multiplayer is the main attraction, and the singleplayer campaign is just tacked on and shallow. So when games have both single player and multiplayer modes, there's usually more focus on one over the other. Is the homeworld series multiplayer focused? or do they have singleplayer campaigns worth playing?
